Patrick Feeney
Born and raised in the greater Indianapolis area of Indiana, Patrick attended New Palestine High School prior to heading north to South Bend and the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Science Pre-Professional degree. While competing for the Irish, Patrick was a five-time All-American, a Big East Champion, and school record setter in the 400m. Patrick continues to train in South Bend, where he also volunteers in the Emergency Department of Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Following his career in track, Patrick seeks to turn this volunteer experience into a profession, as he intends to pursue medical school.
On the track, Patrick loves pushing himself as hard as he can, and seeing the results after putting in months and months of hard work. On this topic, Patrick says, "No matter who I race or where I race I will always give 110% and push for a new PR. There is no better feeling than going into a race knowing you are going to run fast rather than hoping." When not training, competing, or volunteering his time, Patrick enjoys fantasy sports, video games, and spending time with his black lab Junee.
