Check out the following videos for a progression of core strengthening exercises. Do not attempt to do all the exercises at first, but gradually incorporate them into your exercise regimen. Start with the first 2 for a week, then add an exercise a week if starting from scratch. For each exercise, perform 2 sets of 15 on each side.
Tyler was already very strong so he was able to adapt faster and do all the exercises right off the bat. It is important to remember that Elites are better at everything: recovery, running, better protoplasm; it is why they are elite!
