Born and raised in the greater Cleveland, OH area, Katie attended Olmsted Falls High School before heading south to attend Ashland University. My dad passed away when I was 16. He was my biggest fan and my biggest inspiration. He would drive me an hour each way to practice, twice a week, 6 months out of the year. He would be right next to the pit every jump. I write "DAD" on the inside of my spikes, and before big jumps I'll touch my shoe to feel like he's there with me helping me!
