Life sold me a lie and with eyes wide open, I was sleeping on my dreams.

I woke up 3 years ago and became a WORLD CHAMPION Sprinter & Hurdler at age 49.

Karnell Vickers

Born and raised in Southern California, Karnell hails from Pomona and attended Mt. San Antonio College. Thereafter, he hung up his spikes, stating, "I gave up on my dream of being an Olympic and World Class athlete." In hindsight, perhaps this was just a temporary pause for Karnell's track career. He has surged back to the track, now in the Master's ranks, and has sprinted and hurdled himself to being one of the most decorated Master's athletes in the world.

Karnell's sister, Janeene Vickers, is the bronze medalist in the 400 meter Hurdles from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
