Both The Okizu Foundation and The Lezo Urreiztieta Endowed Scholarship are very important to me.

The mission of Okizu is to provide support to families affected by childhood cancer. My twin sister had Leukemia when we were young; Okizu helped me through childhood has always been a special part of my life. The Lezo Urreiztieta Endowed Scholarship is for my teammate from college who passed away two years ago. This a brief story that came out the morning after Lezo passed. The UA set up an endowed scholarship in his memory to support one track and field student-athlete per year.
