A long-time Minnesota resident, Jamie attended Southwest H.S. prior to competing for University of Minnesota, where she earned a degree in Sociology and Family Social Sciences. During her freshman year, Jamie also played soccer, to which she attributes her ability to hold her space in races. Jamie has always been a multi-sport athlete, spending her youth playing hockey as well.
