Born and raised in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, Danny was an all-state standout while at Cretin-Derham Hall High School. After securing multiple conference and section titles, he moved southeast to join the Ramblers at Loyola University Chicago. Though he entered college specializing in middle distance events, Danny developed an acuity for the longer events and began to specialize in distances at 5000 meters and greater. I enjoy dabbling in a variety of activities off the track including writing, camping, and catching concerts. I think it is important to have an outlet from "the grind" of everyday life. When I take the time to do things I enjoy, I always find myself coming back refreshed and ready to take on the next challenge in life. On the track, you can find me pushing workouts to get the most of myself and teammates. On the contrast, my best races have come from being patient and letting the race come to me. I think you have to find a blend of both to reach your potential. I also enjoy finding small lessons to learn each day that apply to my life. I find life is always the best teacher and gives you what you need at the right time.
