I enjoy dabbling in a variety of activities off the track including writing, camping, and catching concerts.  I think it is important to have an outlet from "the grind" of everyday life.  When I take the time to do things I enjoy, I always find myself coming back refreshed and ready to take on the next challenge in life.  On the track, you can find me pushing workouts to get the most of myself and teammates.  On the contrast, my best races have come from being patient and letting the race come to me.  I think you have to find a blend of both to reach your potential.  I also enjoy finding small lessons to learn each day that apply to my life.  I find life is always the best teacher and gives you what you need at the right time.
