- On the World Stage: Riley has represented the USA in the javelin at the last two World Championships in Moscow (2013) and Beijing (2015)
- A Big Arm: Riley had offers to play football and baseball in college, but opted to throw javelin for North Dakota State University instead
- Giving Something Back: In addition to being one of the USAs top javelin throwers, Riley is also a Physical Education Teacher for West Fargo Public Schools
