- Off-the-Track: When not training, Kimber teaches Human Physiology classes and helps coach track and cross country at the University of Oregon
- Way Way Off-the-Track: Kimber has taken home World Championship titles in both the XTERRA Trail Run and the Warrior Dash

- Superman: Jeff famously dove across the finish line at the 2012 Olympic Trails to make the US team for the London Olympics
- Dr. Porter Has a Nice Ring To It: Jeff is currently studying to earn a Ph.D in Education Leadership
- Athletic Family: Jeff is married to his college sweetheart, Tiffany Porter, who is a fellow Olympian and UK record holder
