Team USA #28

I leave Andorra with many mixed emotions. On one hand, like every athlete that toed the line, I wanted to accomplish personal goals and for the most part I did. On the other hand I missed a few goals along the way. I crossed the finish line on Sunday having represented Team USA for the 28th time in my career. More importantly, I accomplished a long term goal of mine which I made in 2010. I had made a few teams by that point but had not consistently made a mark either by leading my Team or taking home medals at International competitions whether it was Trail, mountain running, skyracing or cross country. My goal was to not simply make teams but make sure when I’m representing my country to actually accomplish something and not simply finish a race or participate.

Out of the 28 teams, I’ve come home with medals/victories individually and with my teammates, which is something I will never forget. Even more unforgettable, the experiences and opportunities to race in other parts of the world and while engaging new cultures, languages and people from different walks of life. 4th place left me no medals, but I leave knowing that these blessings afforded to me were not promised therefore, I’m grateful all the way to the bone ❤

Thank you for all the support leading to this day to all my friends, family and supporters 🙏🏽 Also to US Mountain Running Team, USATF, HOKA ONE ONE, Stryd, Club Northwest, Juice Performer, Garden of Life, SOS Rehydrate, Topical Edge, Beyond Coastal, and Ultimate Direction.
