Vin Lananna placed on temporary administrative leave by USATF Board of Directors. “‘To be perfectly honest, I’m surprised and I guess I’m taken aback by the board’s decision,’ Lananna said. ‘I’ve been committed to track and field, this federation and the sport itself for 40 years. I’m going to put my energy into continuing to serve the sport.’ Board chair Steve Miller was quoted in the release as saying, ‘USATF has no reason to believe TrackTown and/or Mr. Lananna have done anything wrong and understand they have been told they are not a target of the investigation.’ But, Miller said, the move was necessary to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest.” Read the full article Vin Lananna ‘taken aback’ by the USATF board’s move to put him on temporary leave on Oregon Live, and the USATF Press Release on the matter
