Reebok announced a new pro track club, Reebok Boston. The first major signee to the new group, which will be based in Charlottesville, VA, is Syracuse standout Justyn Knight (2017 NCAA individual XC champion and 2018 NCAA indoor 5K champion), and the club will be coached by formed Orange coach Chris Fox. “In addition to Knight, the Reebok Boston Track Club will also include at its inception Jamaican Olympian Kemoy Campbell (13:20 pb) and American steeplechaser Tori Gerlach, the NCAA third placer in 2017 (9:46 pb), both of whom will be moving to Charlottesville. Martin Hehir (13:29/28:08), a teammate of Knight’s at Syracuse, will also be on the team, though he will remain in Philadelphia, where he is currently attending medical school. RRCA hosted the 7th annual RunPro Camp for top notch middle and long distance runners who are just starting their professional running careers. “This isn’t a camp to learn how to run or how to run better. It’s a camp to give promising U.S. distance runners the knowledge and guidance they need to pursue a professional running career,” outlined Jean Knaack, RRCA executive director. The attending athletes got the opportunity to connect with many leaders in our sport including AthleteBiz founder Jack Wickens, Ben Rosario, Hawi Keflezighi, as well as special guests Jared Ward, Tyler Pennel, Nicole DiMercurio, and financial planning expert Lauren Haynes.

Joseph Gray attained the Fastest Known Time (FKT) at Mt. Antero. The FKT came as part of his training for the World Mountain Running Championships.
In preparation for the World Mountain Running Champs @strydrunning helped me design power targets for upcoming races/workouts. Today we tested target wattage on 14,275 foot peak Mt. Hyleas Fountain to be inducted into the University of Georgia Circle of Honor. “The Circle of Honor is designed to pay tribute to extraordinary student-athletes and coaches who by their performance and conduct have brought honor to the university and themselves, and who by their actions have contributed to the tradition of the Georgia Bulldogs.” She will join Hines Ward among others as the Circle of Honor Welcomes Five Members in Class of 2018
Brittany Borman held a javelin clinic in Missouri with fellow Olympian Todd Reich. “The javelin went away in the 1930’s for the state of Missouri in high school track and field, due to safety concerns for the athletes competing in the event…Starting in 2015, there was a two year experimental trial period to see how the event would fair out [in Missouri], and with solid success in the two years, 2018 will be the full reinstated year for the javelin to be back in Missouri high school track and field.”
