The University of Oregon released their plans for the expansion at Hayward Field. “Slated to open in 2020, Hayward Field will set a new standard for sports venues, create world-class training and competition facilities for student-athletes, and incorporate new laboratories and research facilities to better understand the potential of human performance.” Read the full article with video, history, and artist renderings Constant Pursuit of Excellence on University of Oregon
Ryan Hall to start a new training group in Flagstaff. “When I retired from professional running 2 1/2 years ago I thought that was the end of my journey of pursuing big, dreamer-size goals in running,” Ryan stated, followed by, “Now, I want to make my ceiling my athletes’ floor so they can learn from the good and bad from my running career and go after big goals.” For entry to the team, he states, “If you are a big dreamer and are interested in joining a like-minded group you can contact me directly at ryanhallcoaching@gmail.com. ElliptiGO did a nice feature and interview with Katie Mackey and an interview with coach Danny Mackey. On her use of the ElliptiGO, Katie said, “I first started using the GO in 2012, and have been in love with it ever since. I initially started using it to replace runs on recovery days when my Achilles was irritated. Since then, I’ve integrated it more as a practical tool even when I am healthy.
