HOKA NAZ Elite has had a change to their roster. It was first announced that Loyola Marymount standout Danielle Shanahan would be joining the group coached by Ben Rosario, making her professional debut at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines. On Friday of this past week, Matt Llano posted to Twitter, “It’s been a good run, but I have parted ways with NAZ Elite. I appreciate Ben Rosario & the team’s support over the years, but sometimes change is necessary for growth. I’m dreaming bigger than ever & am grateful for HOKA ONE ONE’s continued backing as I make this transition!” Matt’s message was followed shortly by a tweet from NAZ Elite, stating, “News for our fans: After 4.5 years full of many great moments, Matt Llano will be moving on from NAZ Elite. We appreciate all the hard work Matt put into his time with us and we wish him the best of luck.”

Gwen Berry shared the playlist which helps keeps her in the zone. “In training, it’s a positive distraction. It makes me feel good. The beat and lyrics usually keep my tempo high, keep me focused, and keep me happy. In competition, I use music to keep my hype, keep my blood flowing, and keep me sane,” says Gwen. She continues, “My favorite song right now is ‘To D.R.E.A.M.’ by Tory Lanez.” Read the feature, including her full playlist, The song that inspires world record-holder Gwen Berry to go after her dreams on ESPNW

Introducing Sienna Rosaleen Solares-Rowbury. Born June 30, 2018. 7lbs 12.5 oz. 19.5in. It was a long tough labor but we did it! This photo was one of our firsts...as you can see both of us were filled with shock and awe. So far Sienna has been very active (my ribs are still recovering from her kicks and she breaks free of every swaddle), but her temperament seems chill (with hints of sass when people try to push her around). She loves to be talked to and she also loves to eat. Right now she has more of her papa’s Mexican background showing through, but I keep searching for hints of my Irish contribution. She will be a 6th Generation San Franciscan, as well as a Mexican and American citizen (so she is already learning both languages). For now we get a couple days to recover at the hospital, and then the new adventure of parenthood will really begin. But above all else, Pablo and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been blessed with this little angel.
