Brandon Hudgins competed for the first time in nearly 12 months at the JDL Fast Track this past weekend. This is especially heartening because Brandon’s journey over that year included, “Blood, sweat, tears, aches, pains, and near kidney loss,” due to vasculitis. Following immunotherapy treatments in September 2017, he has, “felt better with every passing week.” All this culminated in him toeing the line for an 800 in Winston-Salem with Donnie Cowart and Adam Jones, among others. On the 1:55, he says, while it “might be light years from my PR, it’s remarkable when I think about where I was 1 yearr ago, 6 months ago, 3 months ago, and even 1 month ago.” Read his full post on his first steps back, Victory Over Vasculitis is Underway on AthleteBiz.
